Kia ora koutou e te whānau,
Welcome back to school everyone! It was so lovely to have the children back yesterday, to see their smiling faces and hear the excited buzz; this brings the whole school to life.
A big thank you to our 'holiday angels' - those people who kept an eye on things around the school and jumped in and helped sort any little issues we had. Special thanks for the help with gardening, spraying and waterblasting that was done over the holidays - it is really appreciated.
Our March Madness Fair team have been working away over the summer break and the planning is well underway. They have a meeting on Thursday, 15th February at 6.30p.m. in the staffroom and would love as many people as possible to come down and find out how you can help. We still need lots of volunteers to make sure this is a huge success.
We are very excited to have Kelly Club as our After School Care provider this year. They are offering before and after school care and bookings can be made online using this link https://kellyclub.co.nz/kelly_events/view/16408
Have a wonderful weekend.

Gospel Reflection - Sunday, 11th February, 2024
Sixth Sunday of Ordinary Time
Mark 1:40-45
In this Sunday’s Gospel, Jesus has compassion for a man with leprosy and heals him. Jesus broke the social norms of the time by touching this man to heal him, an important detail that shows us the depth of His caring. When we see or hear someone in need, we often feel compassion and are faced with the choice of helping or not. As followers of Jesus, we are called to demonstrate compassion as Jesus did and help those in need when we are able.
Welcome to our new students for Day 1 of Term 1, 2024!

Updated contact information for all families
The oldest child of every family will have been given an envelope containing the contact details we currently have on record for your family. PLEASE go through your child/ren's info, make any changes where necessary and return to the Office by Monday, 12th February so that we can update our records and ensure that we have the means to contact you if/when necessary. Even if there are no changes, we still need you to sign the form and return it so that we know it has been checked.
St Theresa's Catholic School (Learning Hub) - Te Kura Katorika O Hata Terēhia (Te Tari Akoranga)
Please RETURN your summer reading loans asap! Thank you to all those who returned these on Day One. Great job!
Summer Reading activity entries: Deadline Friday, 23 Feb Week 3. Keep the completed “Bingo forms” and “Bookface photo entries” coming. The photo entries so far are fantastic; it's not too late to get creative so get your bookface on.
Never want another overdue library notice?
Then this information is for you!
- Do you want to be able to login to your child's school library account from home?
- Does your child ever forget what books they have on loan?
- Would it help to see what's currently on loan and see the cover images?
- Would you like the option to renew books from home before they become overdue, avoiding overdue emails?
Please contact Sarah Hunt to request borrower login details for your child’s library account. If you would like some control over overdue library books in 2024 then you're one step away from achieving this.
No more overdue emails is a possibility.
Want to know more? Please pop in and see me Mon-Fri 8:30 - 3:30 or contact me using an option below.
