Kia ora koutou e te whānau,
Thank you to everyone who made a time to meet their child's teacher over the past 2 weeks. These evenings are a great opportunity to connect and strengthen our home-school partnership. We appreciate the time commitment involved and thank you for your continued support.
Just a reminder that the date for our school photos has changed to Thursday, 14th March. Please make sure the children have correct uniform for that day.
On Friday night at 7p.m. a group of Catholic Character Leaders are leading the Stations of the Cross in the Church. You are very welcome to join us.
The Young Vinnies have been working with the St. Vincent de Paul volunteers and have started a gardening project behind the Learning Hub. We are so grateful to these lovely volunteers and excited to see their progress.
Our pool is back up and running. We needed to replace a part in the salt water pump that had corroded. Thanks to Paremata Spa and Pool who got it sorted for us in time for the children to enjoy a few more weeks of swimming lessons.
A reminder of the Paid Union Meeting (PUM) to be held on Wednesday, 20th March. If children could be collected from school at lunchtime (12.30p.m.) this would assist us greatly. Please let the Office know if you are unable to pick up your child as there will be limited supervision available.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Gospel Reflection - Sunday, 10th March, 2024
Fourth Sunday of Lent
John 3:14-21
This Sunday’s Gospel reading tells us that Jesus came to Earth to save the world by exposing and forgiving our sins. We are reminded that because Jesus died for our salvation, we do not hide our sins from God. Instead, in the Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation, we confess our sins to God, confident that God forgives us. During Lent, many people take the opportunity to celebrate the Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation to experience the joy of God’s forgiveness.
In Room 1, we have been learning about ourselves and each other. We noticed that we are all different. We have different skin colours, different hair styles and we are different sizes. We also noticed that we like the same colours, the same songs and we like the same food. We also love playing.
Stations of the Cross - 8th March - 7p.m.
It is our School's opportunity to lead the Stations of the Cross in the Church on Friday, 8th March at 7 p.m. It lasts for about half an hour. This is a very meaningful and moving way to remember the Passion of Christ. Please join us.
A new family to welcome! Tanatswa Gwanoya has joined the children in Room 1 and we wish her and her parents, Nyika and Subira many happy times here at St. T's.

There will be a total of 7 Fridays that pizza will be available for you to order. They are:
Weeks 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9 and 10. Week 8 is Good Friday and there is no school.
To order pizza and/or ice blocks for your child, please follow ONE of the two processes below:
1. ORDERS FOR THE TERM: Pizza will be available for 7 WEEKS this term. So if ordering for the term, just multiply by 7. If you decide part way through the term, then calculate how many Fridays are left. Send an email to the team, outlining the following information for each child you are ordering for BUT in one email is fine.
Child’s Name:
Room No.:
Number of pizza slices - please specify if gluten free
Number of ice blocks
Cost: $1.50 per pizza slice and $1 per ice block
Multiply the order total by the number of Fridays.
2. WEEKLY ORDERS: These need to be sent to the same email address, with the same order details as in Option 1 and also paid into the same bank account number.
VERY IMPORTANT: The deadline for weekly orders is at 3p.m. on a Thursday. Unfortunately, no late orders can be accepted.
If you would like to pay in advance for a set number of weeks but not all
the weeks in this particular term, please feel free to email these details to
the team.
If your child is new to our school and only starts part way through the term,
simply adjust the number of weeks for the remainder of the term.
